6) Debate Live!
September 30th, 2004Another thing that just occurred to me, how does a massive tax INCREASE
help the US econamy? Especially after the terror attack and the Wall St.
scandal! How does Kerry’s tax increase help that?

Building police and fire stations in Iraq and not in USA, certainly
sounds pretty sh***y … But it is not clear how Kerry would fix that. I
am listening, but pointing out a problem, but not how to fix them.
The prez did just mis-speak, and said that Saddam was our main target
… Then caught himself and changed that to OBL. He does not seem to be
as comfortable and smooth as Kerry. He’s rushing. I know their time is
limited, but he shouldn’t sound like it is!
Kerry’s position on the war is still contradictory. If he felt that
Saddam was a danger (which he publicly stated) then how can he now say
“wrong war, wrong time, wrong place.” One of these position could be
correct, but not both.
Just, for the record … I’m watching the debate on CSPAN1 … I don’t need a tv guy talking over the two speakers. They can keep their opinions, I’ll be hearing all about them over the next week on the radio / TV / etc.
I am keeping an eye on two other live bloggers … just to see how they are doing this. Cool, huh?
Did Bush just use the word vociferously in a sentence? Amazing!
This is my first attempt at a live blog … I thought this would be a good time to start!
Things are off to a good start, and the points they’ve made in the first question alone is pretty definitive - but I think that Kerry got off to a better start.
