Too many options, not enough content?
October 5th, 2009Today was only hard because I was so tired. Not quite done for the day, either – still have our special October “GURPS Zombie” tonight. This is our first session; we’re playing an underwater base / zombie threat mini-campaign. I hope it’s as scary & entertaining as we’re all hoping.
On a different note; there are a bevvy of amazing services like Drop.IO and EverNote that keep making it easier and easier to record, store, find, and share information. There are literally more ‘free’ options and services then anyone has the time to utilize. As far as I can tell, the thing in short supply is quality content.
The mantra should be something like, “if you’ve got the content, we’ve got a dozen ways to store, index, & find it – and even a few to monetize it!” These services are already being commoditized; making the “what” & “why” much more important then the “how.”

Also, thought it was cute when I saw two little boys entire the deli where I had gyro for dinner, wearing their gi’s (karate uniform) with the logo “Callahan’s Karate” on the backs. Only in America, and probably only in Boston will you find a “Callahan’s Karate.” It would be like going to Okanawa and finding a “Mr. Mitzusaka Irish Pub.”
